Located in XAUAT’s Caotang Campus, the museum covers an area of nearly 600 square meters. All the collections on display are related to music.
Some exhibition date back to 8,000 years ago .In chronological order, they are derived from the Xia, the Shang, the Zhou, the Qin, the Han, the Tang, the Song, the Yuan, the Ming, the Qing Dynasty, the Republican period, the contemporary era and the modern times respectively.There are many kinds, forms and textures, which are of great value to the study of music art and the development of Chinese Musical Instruments. Visiting the museum is like reading a brief history of music development in China, which enriches campus life and broadens everyone's horizon. As the auxiliary place of education in class, students not only acquire knowledge of music history,but also edify personal sentiment and improve their aesthetic taste.
